Would You Help Me Animated by tbolt Would You Help Me Animated by tbolt
After my first experiment with Sandelle, I tried another animation, paying a little more attention between frames. This was a horrific amount of work! ^^;

Again this is based on :iconletrune:'s original here: [link]

Pops: I hate this island! What is wrong with these people!?! First they line their back roads with the floral equivalent of barbed wire! Then they seem to enjoy going off-roading through the stuff!

Pops: WHAT IS THEIR PROBLEM!!!!??!

Pops: Oh, yeah,that's right, they have a conscripted MORON giving free flat repair for the duration of his stay!

(Yes it looks like Pops island vacation isn't quite turning out as planned! ^^;)

No matter how you do it, animation tends to be atleast a bit of a chore. ^^;

Nice job on the tire deflations, and yes, I'd recommend working with smaller dimensions next time. x3 3000+ sounds like a bit much for most computers. I even get some slowdown working on still images at such sizes.

Heh, I liked the larger format, because it helped me with some of the shading details, but the full sized avi file was over 280Mb!

(Although, on a PC with 4Gb RAM, I still don't understand why that would choke things... I've played MOV files that were larger...)

The worst part is the system hung and erased the last 5-7 frames like three times! Not entirely condusive to work progress! =^^;

thank you kindly! =^^=

Tread punctures are repairable! =^^=

Pops: That, and the moron trapped in the garage is being forced to do free flat repairs! These people don't take no for an answer!

Hee, hee, Thanks!

Pops: Believe me, it doesn't help that they line their roads with a plant that could pass for barbed wire!

Great animation job! I can see why it took so long. Just as a mild suggestion, you might want to add in a number of duplicate frames for the last scene (when the tires are completely deflated), so we can see the finished result a bit before the animation begins again.

Now you may need to look into getting Flash!

Ok, I added one frame, and increased the delay to a full second, that gives a little pause...

(Also, I limited it to ten runs, then it halts on the last frame! =^^= )

Hmmm, that might not be a bad idea, and it might not take up too much space on the GIF, as it saves the differences between the frames...

Or...

Duh, I can also change the framerate for each frame as well! =^.^;

Pops, do not be that afraid. :) Okay, things may be a bit hard... Or flat... Or thorny... And so on, but still, we got a nice day and helpful cats around, aren't we? :)

This animation is really detailed and cute. :) Thank you for enhancing my drawing into such nice pictures. :)

Pops: *eyetwitch*

Pops: My back is killing me! What the... there's like ten holes in this innertube, not counting the ones I need to patch! Augh! That was one of the fresher ones! It's a good thing this place doesn't have any superhighways!

Thank you very much! It was a pleasure to do, despite the setbacks! =^^=

I like it as a whole, like, my biggest problem is that I am not this good drawer or that my dreamt self got a bit different fur. But still, these are not a problem, I totally love this in this way. :) Your versions are so cute. :)

Still, you did great work on the car! Hmmm, as you get more familiar with coloring and scanning, I can maybe correct the pallette.. =^^=

Pops: What is this?!? You actually plugged that with a cork held in place with tree sap?!? That's!, ... That's... ... almost ingenious...

I did one little change to the animation from a suggestion... It pauses on the last two frames to let one see the end a little more clearly! =^^=

(I added one frame as well..)

Pops: Oh, nevermind, it was something you ran over... =>.<;

Heh, well it might not have been that horrific if the computer hadn't crashed five times corrupting multiple frames each time! ^^;

I think it was somewhere between a bad software update, and it is probably not a good idea to base an animation of a 3100x2100 raw picture. (The full-sized avi chokes my computer! =^^= )

Next time, I might make the thing smaller, and work through onion skins, that might make things even more consistent...

Thank you very much! =^^=

Hee, hee, probably almost as much fun as recalibrating the lab equipment! =^^=

Pops: If only someone would recalibrate my back after all this work! Good grief, why did I ever choose to come to this place! Oh, yeah, that's right, I didn't someone shanghaied me here! Please remind me to kill them when I get back home...
