One of Those Days by tbolt One of Those Days by tbolt
Have you ever had one of those days?

You think you're going good, then you hit a problem. No sweat, you have the solution. Should be simple, but for whatever reason, you just end up making things worse!

Story (short):

"Dad, how did you meet mom?"

"Well, son, I met her the day she learned two important lessons:"

"First, that we should always remember to wear our back shields, no matter how much of a hurry we are in."

"And second, that porcupine quills are hollow!"

Story (long): (coming! ^^; )

Hee, hee, I know what you mean, that's why I work digitally, it takes me ten times for each line sometimes it seems! ^^;

If I worked on paper, I'd have giant holes everywhere!

Now I have to ask, did you get the point of the joke, or did it just go flat?

(Sorry, I just couldn't hold it back anymore! :D )

Hee, hee! The caveat of being a porcupone fur! =^^=

I actually was thinking about that myself...

Hmmm, as an engineer, I think either they had kevlar seats, or the portable back shields....

Sorry, random engineer thought! ^^;

I suppose you could always go the non-engineer route (my personal favorite ;P ) which is that the quills are relaxed and non-pointy when the character is relaxed, but when stressed or afraid they grow out and become like spikes. Maybe she started getting frustrated with the situation and her quills suddenly poked out! hehehe

Hee, hee, the "long story" will explain more!

Besides, you can't patent a natural solution! :P What else is one to do with gallons of Quill softener, or the back sheaths mark I, II, and III ? =^^=

Well, a bored engineer has to do something in his spare time! :D

Now, If I only had a better promoter!
