Part 2

All around Town

Merai visited the bank first.  This should have been the easiest part of the day, but her tardiness placed her in the there around noon.  Sparks, the Jack Russel Terrier she had worked with initially on the loan was at lunch, now she had to deal with an elderly tortoise, Enos Allen Futzenputter III, who lived up in all aspects to the stereotype.  An eternity of patient waiting later, she had the cash in hand, but the cross-town bus that would have taken her to the notary to meet Tom and Ellie had just left.  She called the notary on a pay phone, yes the two cats were there, and yes they would wait
One of those days: Long StoryMerai was a caramel furred porcupine.  She stood 5'4" tall and weighed a little more than 100 pounds, honest!  Well, one might perhaps wheedle the full truth out of her, but that would not be polite!  A shock of chocolate brown hair shot through by several tan quills framed her face, her deep blue eyes, and subdued muzzle that tipped in a pink button nose.

The porcupine had searched for an antique car for some time now, and finally her quest had ended!  Not only was the vehicle in her price range, but it was a driver!  Merai held a decent job, but she still did not make enough money to have a "museum piece" sitting around the house.

This one is a bit wide, I need to balance the detail wit size better ^^;

Well, most folks aren't thrilled about contemplating their own mortality, especially it if means a giant slug passing gas on one's skull! :D

Pops has heard of the Killer Slugs, but has no clue what they are... Now he finds his garage crawling with them. Finally he meets the Grim Reaper and does a little math in his head (I probably should have drawn a thought balloon ^^; )

Pops + Killer Slugs = The slugs will eat Pops!

When I saw the thumbnail I thought Pops had discovered bloodsplatter in his garage! ^^;

yuck, killer slugs! Time to call the exterminator.
