Carmen by tbolt Carmen by tbolt
The finished picture! =^^=

There's more I could probably do, but I want to move to another project...

Carmen is having a bad day. She's a street girl on a backwater world whose economy has dried up. She joined a small gang for protection and to have something of a family. Today was supposed to be their big score. Carmen's boyfriend, the gang leader, figured out a way to purify nip, a powerful narcotic into a very concentrated form, ten times more potent than any other variety. Making it easier to transport and cut. Things didn't go as planned. She's been up since 2:00am, and now has a five mile walk back to their desert hideout...

The car: The Allman Poter was known as the "Poor man's luxury car" It seated six comfortable in its well padded interior. The twin rotor engine gave the vehicle ample power to move its 5000 lb mass. The simplicity of design made it extremely reliable under all conditions. Unfortunately, politics killed it. Small import cars from larger offworld interests made inroads with cheap prices. Politicians were bought off, and laws enacted (ostensibly to protect the environment, and enhance planetary terraforming) that effectively killed off local industry. Although production halted twenty years ago with the official closing of the Allman factory, over 70% of the fleet is still on the road today giving testament to a well-designed vehicle line.

Eventually, she will, but this is just the beginning of her tale here! =^^=

(Were she not so tired, she would like to kill the guy that suggested removing the spare tire so they could haul an extra briefcase of the Nip Concentrate!)

wow, this came out great! i think you and Corel are gonna make a great team. :3

yeah, I won't tease you about the foot thing, you did a great job of making her look worn. Trust me - I know, there have been days where I've had to walk miles after being stranded by a unreliable public bus or something ^^;

Thank you very much, and for the favorite! =^^=

The infantry had me doing a few road marches for practice, and fatigue can play a factor there! ^^; Heh, I recently overestimated my stamina on a local bike trail, I just wanted to take a quick walk, but I'm in process of cleaning up my bikes. Long story short, 13 miles on foot is a lot longer than on bike! =^^=

Corel is saving many trees at the expense of more than a few electrons! :D

ouch ^^; I have a pretty impressive stamina for walking for hours, which is odd, considering my health. my muscles feel strained, but I never really feel wined o anything, as long as its not real sunny or I'm poorly dressed for the cold.

Walking is great exercise, the biggest thing is that it is low impact (VERY helpful for those of us that suffer shin splints). Hydration is a big thing too, especially in the summer, and that is where I messed up, I didn't bring my Camel Back like I usually do on the trail. Adequate water would have made things a lot more pleasant! =^^=

I'd prefer a 1950 Ford Deluxe four-door manual, though...

Heh, her anatomy gave me fits, as you could see from the scrap, her right foot actually started out as her left, and I went through three tails... ^^;

Thanks again! :D

Tha'ts why I appreciate digital so much, I actually had her legs colored and shaded before I realized the posing was wrong! =>.<;

Perhaps if I drew more, I'd be a little more proficient at getting things right early...

Ah well, stoopid work getting in the way of my hobbies! =^^=

I especially like the little details like the bags under her eyes. Although her feet confuse me... they appear to have white soles glued to the bottom of them.

The poor girl has been awake since 2:00am, and things are starting to show on her... Yeah, I was looking for a way to express "depressed feet" and it didn't quite come off as I figured out... ^^;

By this time, I'd given her so many anatomy surgeries, I thought I'd give her a break... I should have colored her foot pads, but couldn't figure out how to place them...
